Selection Ranges Navigator

The Range Selections Navigator is an intuitive feature that allows you to visualize and interact with all stored range selection items in a file.

Key Benefits

• Eliminates the need to switch between toolbars
• Provides a visual representation of range selections across the entire score

How It Works

1. Enable the feature by tapping the designated button
2. A translucent bar appears at the top of the Score Viewer
   • Bar width represents the total duration of the score
   • Range selections are displayed as colored blocks on this bar

Visual Elements

• Block placement: Indicates the starting time of the range selection
• Block width: Represents the duration of the range selection
• Vertical stretch and darker bounds: Indicates the currently selected range

Note

The order of range items in the Ranges Toolbar doesn’t affect their appearance in the Navigator bar.

Handling Overlapping Selections

When range blocks overlap:

1. Tapping on an overlapped area opens the Overlap Resolution menu
2. This menu estimates which range was tapped
3. It also shows other overlapping ranges
4. Provides easy access to all overlapping ranges

Tip

The emphasis on color use for range selection items is intentional. Colors help distinguish between different range selection blocks in the Navigator bar, especially in cases of overlap.
