MIDI Settings

This menu allows you to configure MIDI controllers for Learn Mode input or Score Viewer function control. Note that VirtualScore ignores MIDI channel information.

Device Management

Devices Selection

• Assign single or multiple MIDI devices
• Theoretically, No limit on the number of devices that can be added
• Compatible with iOS or iPadOS devices detected by the operating system

Note

Refresh the device list (swipe down) if a device was connected while viewing the list.

Selected Devices

• View user-selected devices in the menu below Devices Selection option

Input Log

• Test selected devices’ input in real-time
• Displays received input notes or CC data

Caution

Selected MIDI devices automatically connect to VirtualScore on restart if physically connected to the device. No need to re-select devices.

MIDI Mapping

The settings menu for configuring the mapping of MIDI CC input values to Score Viewer Commands

• Configure CC MIDI input values to Score Viewer commands mapping

Drumkit Input Remapping

The different drumkit element input values that can be altered to different values of similar elements before they are received by Learn Mode

• Relevant only for MIDI drumkit input in Learn Mode
• Alter input MIDI values of percussion elements to different similar elements

Example:

• Electric Snare (40) input can be remapped to Acoustic Snare (38)

When enabled:

• Learn Mode sidebar shows “Drumkit” indicator
• Remappings configuration becomes effective
• Transposition adjustments in the sidebar are ignored

Tip

• This option may be unnecessary if your electronic drumkit allows specifying MIDI output values
• Useful for low to mid-end electronic drumkits without this functionality
• Not to be confused with the Drumkit visualization model’s settings for tom drums
